Somfy’s new unit in Felgueiras, spanning 25,000 m² with a capacity for 800 workers, redefines the concept of industrial architecture in Portugal. Located in Alto das Barrancas and LEED BD+C certified, it was designed from the outset with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and durability.
The project stood out for the total integration between architecture and engineering, creating a building where every formal solution responds to technical, operational, and environmental requirements. The commitment to pre-fabrication, visible in the concrete facades, sandwich panels, and modular roofing systems, allowed for reduced deadlines, waste, and ecological impacts without compromising quality.
