On October 19, at the Auditorium of the Rectorate of NOVA University Lisbon, we had the honor of receiving the 1st BIM Excellence Award 2017 in the “Simulation and Design” category.
This ceremony was part of the 6th Strategic Forum of the Portuguese Construction Technology Platform (PTPC), demonstrating the growing importance of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in the civil construction industry in Portugal.
The award, promoted by the BIM Technical Standardization Committee (CT 197-BIM) with the support of the Southern Region of the Order of Engineers, featured a highly qualified jury.
Chaired by Prof. António Aguiar Costa, the panel included representatives from several prestigious institutions, such as the Order of Engineers, the Institute of Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction, the University of Minho, Instituto Superior Técnico, the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering, PTPC, and the Portuguese Association of Construction Materials Traders.
A400 stood out for its innovative use of BIM technologies, which enables effective simulation and coordination of engineering projects, improving the accuracy, efficiency and sustainability of developments.
