The KREAR industrial facility in Estarreja is complete, marking a new phase in a project dedicated to developing solutions for industrialized construction.

Located in the Estarreja Business Eco Park, the facility is the result of a €15 million investment and integrates KREAR’s operations, a company created through a joint venture between the Casais and Secil groups. These details are confirmed by official communications from Grupo Casais and the Municipality of Estarreja.

A Facility Dedicated to Industrialized Construction

KREAR was created with the objective of developing industrialized construction solutions, bringing construction processes closer to industrial production.

The new facility integrates an automated production line for manufacturing building elements and is currently operational. KREAR itself announced the start of production at 100% capacity and continues to present Estarreja as the location of its production facility.

The completion of the building thus represents the realization of a project designed for a construction approach in which production, precision, repeatability, and coordination play a central role.

A400 Architecture and Engineering

A400 was responsible for developing the Architecture and engineering discipline projects for the KREAR industrial facility.

In a building intended for the production of industrialized solutions, this integration between Architecture and Engineering takes on particular relevance. The project itself must respond to the needs of industrial operations, production flows, and the building’s technical requirements, coordinating the different disciplines from the initial phases.

A400’s project sheet confirms that the facility is intended for the production and storage of precast concrete elements and that the Architecture and discipline projects were developed internally by A400.

A Project Linking Industry and Construction

With the facility now complete and operational, the project realizes the convergence of engineering, architecture, industry, and industrialized construction that was at the origin of KREAR.

For A400, the completion of the industrial facility also represents the realization of a project in which the building itself is directly linked to the production process it will house—a context in which coordination between disciplines and construction preparation are critical.
